In recognition of National Recovery Month, Aspire Behavioral Health and Developmental Disability Services and The Change Center are proud to present Recovery in the Streets; an evening of fun, celebration, and hope for the whole family. Join us on Saturday, September 7th, from 5:00pm – 9:00pm, in the plaza at The Flint Riverquarium (101 Pine Ave), as we celebrate those in recovery and provide information and resources to our community.
Admission is free, and the celebration will include live music by Rachel Mansfield and Unbreakable Bloodline, a Kid’s corner with face painting and bounce houses, local vendors, raffle items, and the Food Truck Coalition. We will have a red carpet photo shoot experience for our Recovery Rock Stars, an open mic session to showcase and celebrate stories of recovery, and a hope lantern release.
We believe that recovery is the expectation, and that no one affected by this epidemic should feel alone. Help us promote healing within our community and change the conversation around addiction.
